The reliance on cell phones, tablets and laptops has reached epidemic proportions. Ask someone to imagine a day in which they’ve misplaced their device or even worse – broken a device which is beyond repair – and you’ll see an immediate and universal response – pure panic!

While it’s still too soon to categorize digital dependence disorder as an addiction comparable to gambling, it certainly shows signs of obsessive compulsive traits.

While many people have found a delicate balance between their real life and their cyber world, the technology in the hands of an addictive personality is covertly insidious and real, physical symptoms are not readily discernable to the average person.

The problem of cyber compulsion can only be truly felt by the family and friends of the internet obsessed individual. The psychological side effects are immediately obvious. There is increased isolated time away from loved ones; decreased productivity; lack of creativity, and continuous distraction.

1. Do you find yourself preoccupied with sending and receiving text messages?

2. Do you find yourself spending more and more time texting?

3. Are you feeling dissatisfied about being unsuccessful in your attempts to decrease the amount of time online?

4. Do you prioritize internet use over more important and pressing issues?

5. Do you actually rationalize or downright lie about the amount of time you spend using your devices?

All of the aforementioned symptoms point to a fully identified dependency and the problem is real. It’s getting bigger each day and it’s simply not going to go away. Hypnosis is a viable solution to overcome this “separation anxiety” of technology.

First, a Certified Consulting Hypnotist helps the client identify why they have the need for continuous digital connection and secondly, the Hypnotist addresses the subconscious mind with positive suggestions to replace the negative behavior patterns.

A well-trained Hypnotist can assist anyone with digital separation anxiety to “unplug” and regain their freedom from technology that is intended to serve rather than enslave. CONTACT US! Make your appointment today. Achieve harmony of mind, body, and spirit.
